Automobile DepartmentAutomobile, truck, trailer and boat registration and title transfers are done in our office. Applications for handicap parking are also available in our office. When these are completed by the doctor, they are returned to our office for issuance of handicap plates or placards.
Property TaxCOLLECTIONS: We collect taxes for:

Statements are mailed for the current year's taxes the first week of October. If not paid by February 1st of the following year, penalty is added and accrues each month. On July 1st, a 15% attorney's fee is added.
Any exemptions, which could be applied, should be filed with the Houston County Appraisal District. Also, any changes in address, ownership or exemptions with appraisals should be reported to that office. Any disagreement with appraisals should also be discussed with that office.
Voter RegistrationYou may come to our office to register to vote. After all information is verified, a card will be sent to you.
In order to be eligible to vote, you need to be registered 30 days before the election. Any time you move, or change your name, you need to notify our office so that your file will be updated and you will be in the correct precinct.
As long as all of your information stays the same, you will automatically receive a new card from us every two years.

(936) 544-9655 - Homestead, over 65 and ag exemptions are granted at the Houston County Appraisal District. Address corrections and questions regarding appraisal values should also be directed to the Appraisal District.
